Party Directory, Wedding Guide and Event Services

This website is about bringing together those who are in need of party, wedding and/or event services and those who provide the services. It is an index and directory of local and national party-wedding vendors with lots of extra information. In designing the site we decided to "keep it simple". You won't find flashy graphics, pop-ups or fancy interactive media, but you will find the most local vendors and tons of links to other helpful websites.

What we bring to our visitors looking for party-wedding services:

First and foremost the site is very easy on the eye and navigation is intuitive. You won't get lost and you won't be blinded by a zillion flashing advertisements. We want you to find the services you need so you can move on or continue to browse for other services or products. Listings are sorted by distance from the city each directory serves. This means that local companies will be listed first in each listing option. We are VERY serious about keeping our directory clean and organized. We don't allow multiple free listings for vendors that would potentially spam up the directory and we also don't allow a vendor to post their business in a category that is not relevent to their service. That way you can compare apples to apples without having to sift through all the oranges. What we bring to our party, wedding and event vendors:

At the time of typing this we have directories in over 170 metropolitan areas and over 8000 webpages and growing. Our site is thoroughly weaved into the fabric of the web. Adding your listing is easy and you don't have to create a userid or account. We won't add you to an annoying newsletter or give your email to marketing companies and no salesperson will call . Absolutely no hassles!

A quick tour:

First take a peek at the Main Index (our Home Page and sitemap). In the center of the page you'll see our Local Vendor Directories. These are all the cities that we currently have directories that are published. More are added each month. If your area is not represented please send us an email so we can add it to the list. If you look to the left you'll see a list of states under the heading of "Resources". These are other external party/wedding guides, directories or other resources. Yes, they are our competitors. We figure that if you don't find what you're looking for here then the least we can do is point you in the right direction. National guides are listed under the "National" link and guides that are specific to a certain city or state are under that state's link.

To the right is a list of the categories of vendors contained in the directories. Clicking on a category will give you a definition page as well as search instructions. Below that is our "Menu" where you can find more specific info on our website. Take a look at the advertising section to get an even more in depth tour.

About Folsom Party-Wedding

We started as and still are a small party rental company (Folsom Party Rentals) based in Folsom, CA. This site started as a spreadsheet listing other local businesses that complimented our own business. Referenced on this spreadsheet were other party rental companies, caterers, event planners, disc jockeys, bounce house rentals, photographers and others. We still team with many of these companies to provide customers with all their party needs. The spreadsheet was a way to send referrals to the said companies. After awhile we just started attaching the spreadsheet to emails and sent it to customers who were looking for local companies to help out with their events. That spreadsheet turned into a website and a great source of advertising for the vendors listed on it...including us.

We noticed that over the years we had found and listed more local vendors than many of the "big" wedding guides. Probably due to the fact that listing with us was easy and painless. No account setup, passwords or sales calls. As a vendor ourselves, we know how annoying it is to have your busy day interupted by someone trying sell you something. Our rental business as well as this directory both stress efficiency. Everything is presented up front. No hidden prices, policies or surprises. Although we think our paid listings will easily pay for themselves many times over, we won't try to talk you into it and are more than happy to just provide you with a free listing. If your city/area is not listed in our guide please try back every month or so as we are still adding new directories as fast as we can.
